In Vitro Research Scientist

Cybrexa is seeking an in vitro lab scientist to provide expertise in developing novel targets for the treatment of solid tumors. The candidate will provide scientific excellence for the In Vitro group by directing and contributing intellectually and practically to translational pharmacology and PK/PD initiatives.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

As a research scientist, this position will provide in vitro support for the development and characterization of small molecules. The scientist will perform the following:

  • Support collaborative biomarker, translational pharmacology and PK/PD initiatives.
  • Support the compound evaluation process by implementing assays designed to determine the biological activity and attributes of synthetic substrate.
  • Support a bridge of continuous evaluation of compounds from biochemical and cellular assays to animal testing – and eventually toward support of clinical candidate programs.
  • Carry out cell culture activities as needed to support experimental procedures and compound evaluation.


The candidate should have a BS/MS degree with 5+ years of industry experience in the biological sciences, with demonstrated scientific excellence.

Experience in pharmacology and protein biochemistry is a must.

Experience in rodent PK/PD/efficacy experiments is desired, but not required.
